Lincoln Memorial

Breakdance meets classical music. This show combines Bach's classical masterpieces with modern electronic beats and clever choreography. A blending of the creative minds of artistic directors Vartan Bassil and the accomplished classical pianist Christoph Hagel, Flying Steps will help kick off the beginning of the Year of German-American Friendship initiative here in Washington.

Flying Steps’ projects consist of demonstrations, lectures, and workshops. The ensemble consists of nine dancers and two musicians - a pianist and a harpsichordist.

Support for this presentation is provided by the “Year of German-American Friendship” initiative 2018/19. The “Year of German-American Friendship” is a comprehensive and collaborative initiative of the German Federal Foreign Office, the Goethe-Institut, and the Federation of German Industries (BDI). Events throughout the year will be highlighting the decades-long relationship grounded in common values, interests and goals.
