Voices for Tomorrow (initially was Sustainability in Documentaries) is an initiative of Goethe-Institut Hanoi in collaboration with the Center for Assistance and Development of Movie Talents TPD, started in 2021, to foster collaboration between civil society organizations (CSOs) in Vietnam and independent filmmakers to tell stories of sustainable development through documentary.
This year, the project focuses on stories about inclusion, livelihood, waste management and urban development (focusing on community garden and public spaces).
The selected Filmmakers are supported with finance and advises from consultants in order to expand their expertise and skills in telling stories for sustainability to a wider audience. Through close and trusting cooperation with CSO, documentary filmmakers gain deeper insights into complex issues in our society, that are crucial for the future.
This project also aims at having Vietnamese documentary filmmakers prepared to go international with their quality documentaries.
