The Goethe-Institut Ho Chi Minh City is pleased to support and co-manage A. Farm as it enters its 7th season, continuing its mission to foster artistic experimentation and interdisciplinary exchange.

Established in 2018 through a collaboration between the Nguyen Art Foundation, MoT+++, and Sàn Art, A. Farm has provided a creative space for more than 40 artists, cultural workers, and researchers during its initial residency in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 12. In December 2023, with the support of Amanaki, A. Farm reopened in Thao Dien, marking an exciting new phase with the Goethe-Institut Ho Chi Minh City as a funding and managing partner. 2025 is the second year that the Goethe-Institut is supporting the residency.

For the 7th season, A. Farm continues to focus on supporting emerging and established artists working across diverse disciplines, encouraging innovative, research-driven, and socially engaged practices. The residency provides a collaborative environment where artists can push the boundaries of their work while engaging with the local and international art community.

Throughout 2025, four artists will be hosted as part of the residency program.

From May to July, two Vietnamese artists holding Vietnamese citizenship will take part, with one receiving full funding—including accommodation, living expenses, and production costs—while the other will be supported for living expenses and production.

From September to November, the residency will continue in collaboration with the city of Leipzig, which will fund the living expenses of one artist from Leipzig, who will stay in Ho Chi Minh City with full support, including accommodation and production costs. Additionally, another Vietnamese artist will receive a full scholarship for this period. This marks the second year of collaboration with Leipzig, further strengthening the artistic exchange between Germany and Vietnam. Throughout the residency, artists will take part in various events and presentations, fostering dialogue and engagement.

We look forward to an inspiring season filled with groundbreaking projects and artistic dialogue. Stay connected for updates on upcoming residencies and events.
