The Saigon Chamber Music Summer Academy is realized for the third time this year by the Transposition Programme and the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, in coordination with the Goethe-Institut Viet Nam. It is the only Academy of its kind in the city, with the aim of fostering young talents and to provide them with opportunities for an international cooperation. Under the direction of international musicians, the young generation should be inspired and encouraged to evolve musically. At a final concert on 18 August at 7 p.m. at the Conservatory of HCMC, the participants of the Summer Academy will present their jointly developed program. Information on the admission are yet to be announced.

The musical vision of Antonia Köster and Sindri Lederer is "to find a common musical statement and transfer deeply human emotions" – the young music talents from Germany will lead this year’s courses at the Summer Academy in HCMC together with the musicians Zoë Martlew (UK) and Juliet White-Smith (US).

Antonia Köster and Sindri Lederer are among the most successful chamber musicians of their generation. As members of the Notos Quartet (Berlin) they both reached international success and were awarded among others with the Parkhouse Award 2011 in London and the first prize at the Dutch competition Charles Hennen Concours, the first prize at the Premio Vittorio Gui in Florence, Italy and the 2nd prize at the International Chamber music competition in Osaka, Japan. Continuing the road of success, they received the 1st prize in the category Chamber Division at this year’s Alice & Eleonore Schoenfeld International String Competition in China. They convinced the jury with their outstanding communication within the quartet as well with the audience. In addition to the concerts the Quartet teaches at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and since autumn 2015 holds the annually carried out Notos Chamber Music Academy in Germany.
