Can I change or cancel my course booking?

In case of cancellation, the following fees apply: a) Up to 4 weeks before beginning of course 10% of course fee, b) Up to 1 week before beginning of course 20% of course fee, c) Up to 1 day before beginning of course 30% of course fee, d) After course begins 100% of course fee. Students should consider their personal commitments and circumstances before enrolment, as we regret that no fees are refundable once the course has started. We reserve the right to cancel classes with fewer than 10 students up to 24 hours before a course is due to start. In this case we will give you a full refund of the course fee paid. No other costs except the course fee will be refunded.

Will I get a certificate at the end of my class?

All students who attend at least 70% of their classes, and (for courses with an online component) complete at least 70% of their assignments will receive a certificate of participation for their course. Also, we prepare and encourage you to sign up for one of our official Goethe-Zertifikat exams, which will provide you with an internationally-recognised certificate to prove your language abilities. Flexible learning with a group atmosphere

Our Online-Group Course is for everyone, who wants to learn German independently and without losing the feeling of being part of a group. Reading, writing, speaking and listening – you will practise all four skills. The course takes place on the learning platform of the Goethe-Institut and in a virtual classroom.

How the course works

Learning Platform
The online group courses cover different topics from your everyday life in order to familiarise yourself with important vocabulary and grammar. The interactive learning programme consists of videos, pictures, audios and texts. You can also download important grammar and vocabulary summaries from the learning platform.

Support from your teacher
Your teacher corrects longer writing exercises and will provide detailed feedback on your writing and speaking. In case you have any queries, you can always contact the teacher via the forum or by email.

Online Live Sessions
You will meet your teacher and other group members every second week for a live session, during which you will mainly practise speaking and applying the learnt structures.
