Teachers applying for this scholarship must
- be currently teaching at a secondary school (part-time or full-time)
- Language level: at least B2
- be aged between 25 and 55
- not have received a scholarship from the Goethe-Institut South Africa in the last three years
- hold a valid passport
- take on the role of supervisor and guardian for the two accompanying pupils
- participate in the entire IDO programme and the accompanying professional development seminar
- be available for the entire duration of the professional development programme
