Session 3: slow release: a listening session
Sonic Lecture | In this session, Bhavisha Panchia will discuss the cassette slow release (2026) and the curatorial thinking that informed the project.
Featuring the work of AGF, Nolan Oswald Dennis, Concepcion Huerta, Simina Oprescu, Gascia Ouzounian, and Constanza Pina, slow release is a listening project that considers the limits of containment and the forms of life that persist beyond systems of capture and control. Taking its cue from historical and contemporary enclosures, from the Wardian case and the Crystal Palace to Biosphere 2, aquariums, and natural history museum vivariums, the project reflects on humanity’s recurring desire to isolate, preserve, and regulate living worlds.
