VICTORIA
This year the German Careers Day will be held as an online event. Year 8-12 students from Victoria are invited to join us on
Wednesday 26th August 2020 from
10.30 am-3.00 pm to learn about career paths with German.
We will start with a welcome and a keynote speech, followed by presentations from experts from a variety of academic fields. In the afternoon there will be an online film screening that can be attended optionally.
Preliminary program (subject to change)
10:30-11:00 am: Welcome and keynote speech
11:15-11:45 am: Parallel sessions 1
12:00-12:30 pm: Parallel sessions 2
1:30-3:00 pm: optional online film screening
"Cleo - If I could turn back time"
To attend the online event students and teachers will log in via a link as a group from their classroom with one device only. The teacher will act as a moderator and operate the chat with prepared and spontaneous questions from the students. Schools will choose the sessions of their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice prior to the events and receive respective links for allocated sessions. Please note that one group will have to attend the same presentations. Larger schools may be able to split into smaller groups.
