Internship Communications Department


at the Goethe-Institut Bangladesh 
Duration:  15 February -  15 May 2024 (3 months)
Application Deadline:  15 January 2024


The Goethe-Institut offers a full- time internship with a monthly expense allowance for university students preferably in Journalism, Communications & Media Studies in at least their 3rd semester.

As an intern you will involve in the Communications Department’s regular work and programmes.

1. We offer interns the chance to:

  • Get an insight into the Goethe-Institut’s work in communications
  • Co-develop the Institut’s press / public relations work including digital formats for projects and   events
  • Contribute to the development of our online portal www.goethe.de/dhaka
  • Support the Institut’s social media activities

2. We expect from interns:

  • Good knowledge of digital media and communications in Bangladesh
  • Creativity and ability to conceptualise ideas into projects
  • Very good command of Bengali and English
  • Affinity to Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)
  • Willingness to complete routine tasks
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • An open and friendly manner
  • IT skills with MS Office, photo/illustration programmes as well as ZOOM

3. Documents to be provided:

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) of max. two A4 pages in English with recent photograph
  • A motivational letter of max. one A4 page for the position (in English)
  • University certificate of your bachelor degree, if available
  • Proof of earlier experiences (certificates) relevant for this position
