Cooperation with the College of Europe

The College of Europe in Bruges and Natolin prepares students from all over Europe for later careers in the EU in its postgraduate programmes with a European focus. The cooperation between the Goethe-Institut within the framework of Europantzwerk Deutsch and the College of Europe provides students with in-depth knowledge of the German language and culture. In addition, they become part of a dedicated network.

Business breakfast with Tobias Franke, Policy Officer, EEAS
Students of the College of Europe visit Brussels

Students from the College of Europe Bruges came together for a business breakfast with Tobias Franke, Policy Officer at the European External Action Service, at the Goethe-Institut Brussels, on the 20th of March. After Tobias Franke has given insights into his work in "Sanctions Division" of the EEAS, the students were encouraged to ask thematically relevant questions: Among other topics, they discussed the power of the effect and the decision process around the imposition of sanctions and the EU's sanctions policy towards Iran. The Europanetzwerk Deutsch thanks you for the exciting discussion in an informal setting!

Goethe-Institut Excellence Award - German Language Prize for IRD Students

The long-standing cooperation between the Goethe-Institut in the frame of Europanetzwerk Deutsch and the College of Europe in Bruges enables students of the course "EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies" to attend German courses on a regular basis. The annual award of a scholarship for the best academic achievement in German is a highlight of this programme every year. The scholarship holder who receives the award has the opportunity to take part in an intensive language course in Germany. The aim of this course is to deepen the student's knowledge of German and to immerse him/herself in German culture. The course can take place at different locations (e.g. Berlin, Munich or Freiburg) and depends on the individual availability of the award winner. Alternatively, the scholarship can also be taken up online.
