Do you require internationally recognised certification of your German language skills? We offer German exams at all levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR): from A1 for beginners to C2 for the highest language level. Our exams take place four times a year: in February, June, September and November. The B1 and B2 examinations are now only conducted digitally, i.e. the examination takes place digitally at the Goethe-Institut Brussels. Registration for an exam

You can register online by going to the applicable exam. German exams The B1, B2 and C2 are modular exams. The modules do not have to be sat at the same time. Individual modules can be booked online.

“English is a must, German is a plus.” We provide teachers at Belgian schools with the opportunity to take Goethe-Institut certificates on site. There must be a minimum of 22 exam candidates.

SUMMER CLOSURE

Dear course and exam candidates,

the language course office will be on summer vacation between August 1 and 18, 2024. During this time our office will be closed. Your messages will not be processed, but you can still book courses and exams and take an online placement test. We will be back for you on August 19, 2024 and will process your requests as soon as possible.

In July the opening hours are adjusted as follows:
Monday: 2 - 4 pm - by telephone only
Tuesday - Thursday. 10 am - 1 pm and 2 pm - 4 pm
Friday: 10 am - 1 pm - by telephone only

German has the most native speakers in the European Union. Alongside English, German plays a key role as a language of business and culture and provides improved opportunities on the employment market – including in Belgium!

A German certificate from the Goethe-Institut attests language skills worldwide at all levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

REQUIREMENTS

All Goethe-Institut examinations can also be taken by external candidates if they have the appropriate language level. Attending a preparatory course is nevertheless recommended. We will be happy to advise you!
