The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari)
is a German expressionist and silent film by Robert Wiene released in 1920. Considered the quintessential German expressionist film, it tells the story of a mad hypnotist who uses a sleepwalker to commit murder. The film is characterized by a dark and twisted visual style, with sharp shapes, oblique and curved lines, structures and landscapes that lean and twist at unusual angles, and shadows and light strokes painted directly onto the sets.

Silicon Beats is a performance and improvisation collective for electro-numeric music founded in 2016. The project consists of around 15 musicians from different backgrounds and brings together artists from the electronic scene in Montreal around performance, improvisation and exchange. In a time when machines are starting to think, Silicon Beats puts humans back at the center of machine-based creation, offering ever-changing immersive shows adapted to the environment and guided by the improvisation and chemistry of its members. Silicon Beats is committed to being close to the audience and sees itself as a vector for the popularization of electronic and digital design tools. The collective offers musical performances with its "house band", open improvisation evenings and film concerts.
