In entertaining anecdotes, the author tells of his experiences and knowledge acquired across Canada while delivering many surprising insights into the culture, history and way of life: why are Ottawa, the Gaspésie or Toronto named thusly? Why is Quebec such an extremely important place in terms of world history? He will talk about Eastern-Canadian artists renowed internationally, traffic rules that are completely unfamiliar for Europeans, where to find the best restaurants from Eastern to Western Canada as well as the endless treats made from maple syrup, the sweetener of the Aboriginal peoples of Canada, and much more.
Numerous color photographs from the extensive collection of the author will be shown during the reading.
