Alina Gorlova’s award-winning film in black and white, takes viewers on a mesmerizing journey that stretches over hauntingly barren plains and territories still in crisis. Andriy Suleyman, a Syrian-Ukrainian Red Cross worker, torn by the conflict in both of his native lands, sets out to reconnect with desolate places left behind. His personal story and path intertwine with others, who like him have experienced exile and trauma due to war.
