COURTS D'un Soir

Courts d'un soir was founded in 2017 out of a desire to bring Quebec and international short films to Montreal's cinemas.Today, the festival sees itself as a showcase for the short format in Montreal, offering competitions for short films, independent music clips and short format series. Courts d'un soir stands out in Montreal's cultural scene for its dynamism and the diversity of activities and content it offers. The festival's commitment goes beyond its mission of recognizing emerging talent to offer a range of activities that create spaces for exchange between young professions, established professionals and the general public. Courts d'un soir also offers professionalization workshops for emerging filmmakers. Finally, Courts d'un soir also advocates for the next generation of filmmakers. With its Cinéastes en herbe section, the festival offers young people who dream of cinema the opportunity to participate in stimulating workshops, but also to see their works screened in a competition reserved for those under 21.
