Julian Heun – The German poetry slammer in the 1st Poetry Slam Cyprus 2017

In the framework of the Poetry Slam Cyprus 2017, which is taking place on Monday, 27 and Tuesday 28 March 2017, the German slammer Julian Heun will be the one who will represent the German slam scene in Cyprus.
 
Julian Heun will perform in the framework of the Poetry Slam Cyprus 2017 at the ARTos Foundation (64, Ay. Omoloyiton Ave.) in Nicosia on Monday 27 March 2017, at 8.00 p.m.
In addition to the competition he will give a performance together with the slam-performer from Spain at the cultural bar “1984” on 26 March 2017, at 8.30 p.m. in Lefkosa, in the north part of Nicosia (33-37 Mahmut Pasa Sokak).
 
The German author and poetry slammer Julian Heun was born in 1989. He is a student of German literature and lives in Berlin. Since 2007 he has been performing on various poetry slams for which he has been awarded with several prizes, among others twice with the German Poetry Slam Prize and twice the Berlin Poetry Slam Prize. He has been visiting international poetry festivals in Europe, Africa, South and North America with the support of the Goethe-Institut.
Julian Heun is a project manager of the renowned Berlin Poetry Festival and he moderates the monthly Bastard Slam together with Wolf Hogekamp. Furthermore, he takes part in various reading ensembles such as the Lesebühne Spree vom Weizen and the Spoken-Word-Ensemble Allen Earnstyzz. Besides this he hosts together with Till Reiners the monthly radio show Poetry Blue Moon on the Berlin radio station Radio Fritz vom rbb. His first book Strawberry Fields Berlin was published in 2013.
