The Goethe-Institut Cyprus invites you to the screening of the German-Swiss documentary #Female Pleasure, by award-winning director Barbara Miller, which will take place on 6th August at 22:30 within the framework of the 14th Lemesos International Documentary Festival.
The 14th Lemesos International Documentary Festival will take place from the 1st to 8th August 2019, at Ceronia Hall - Lanitis Carob Mill, in the heart of the old town of Limassol, next to the Medieval Castle. Documentaries that define and influence the lives of the contemporary citizen of the world, offer a wide spectrum of subjects in this year's programme of screenings.
In #Female Pleasure get ready to meet five courageous women, determined to fight with body and soul for emancipation, striving to destigmatize their sexuality and conquer the right to erotic pleasure. A documentary that travels to the four corners of the world, only to land in the very core of man-driven oppression. The female body enslaved by religious doctrines, social prejudice and the patriarchal rule. Five women enduring prosecution, threats, marginalization, and violence, only because they dared to stand up and utter the deepest truth.
