Over three days, the digital festival Latitude is presenting artistic contributions and debates. The focus is the effects that colonial structures have on the present day and how to overcome them.

The extent to which global power structures influence our everyday lives and our coexistence become even more clearly visible in crises. What narratives do we use when we talk about inequality between north and south? Is the restitution insufficiently emphatic? What are the visions of the Global South from the Internet of the future? The Goethe-Institut is asking these and other questions at the Latitude digital festival from 4 to 6 June. International positions from academia, culture, and politics will meet with artistic interventions. Participants include political scientist Nanjira Sambuli, philosopher Denise Ferreira da Silva, performer Trixie Munyama, historian Ciraj Rassool, and migration researcher Mark Terkessidis.
