The background has a colour gradient and goes from pink to blue-grey. The date of the event Buffer Fringe Festival is in the top left corner. Underneath is Buffer Fringe. The greater part of the poster is made up of waves of lines that create an optical illusion and rise towards the viewer. On the left of the Last Waves is a small blue-grey sphere. This year’s Buffer Fringe Festival will take place from 8 to 10 October 2021 in Cyprus, internationally and online. The theme of the festival is displacement. It is a topical subject, but one that has always existed. Artists from Cyprus and abroad (the Netherlands, Hungary and others) will show works which deal with different aspects of displacement, the dreams and goals of people, their experiences and the way they interact with one another.

The Buffer Fringe Performing Arts Festival (BFPAF) was developed by the Home for Cooperation in 2014. It offers young artists from Cyprus and abroad a platform to enter into a mutual dialogue, to exhibit new and experimental pieces and to question prevailing narratives. The aim is to create a network in which local and international artists and the audience can develop and exchange ideas.

The Goethe-Institut Cyprus is pleased to support the festival again this year.
