KunstRaumGoethe is an exhibition series of the Goethe-Institut Cyprus launched in 2020. Curators and artists from Germany and Cyprus are brought together in an exhibition and parallel programme, creating space for a meaningful exchange and connection.

In the 2026 edition of KunstRaumGoethe curated by Dr Katharina Koch, the exhibition Between Imagination and Hope is dedicated to the urgency and the possibilities of collaboration and connection in an increasingly fragmented world. It explores the potential of gestures of solidarity in relation to processes of resilience and the healing of trauma.

In drawings, textile works, and objects, the artists Mariandrie, Nurtane Karagil and Sophie Utikal develop perspectives that speak of fragmentation, alienation, and vulnerability, at times sensuous, at others direct or even humorous, while also addressing care, attentiveness, and solidarity. In doing so, they create spaces that allow contradictions and differences, that empower, and that open up other forms of storytelling.
