AI + Nature

Generation A = Algorithmus

Most of us think of nature, forests and fields, as something that has so far remained untouched by technological innovations in the field of artificial intelligence. But both in agriculture and environmental protection, AI technologies have long been used to meet ecological challenges. AI systems allow farmers to analyse, for instance, weather conditions, water consumption and soil conditions in real-time and detect plant diseases or pest infestations early on. The data obtained through AI helps them to grow food more efficiently and in a more environmentally friendly way. AI can also monitor ecosystems such as forests, helping to curb forest fires worldwide and identify the (in some cases illegal) deforestation of large tree populations.

What you will learn

  • How does AI benefit the environment?
  • How can AI support the responsible use of our natural resources?
  • How can AI connect us with nature instead of alienating us from it?
