The Goethe-Institut Ghana is seeking a dedicated Administrative Officer (f/m/d) for the Administration Department starting 1 April 2026 or later.

Remuneration according to local salary scheme, Grade V1
Start date: 1 April 2026 or later

As an Administrative Officer (V1), your main tasks will include:

  • Validation of invoices
  • Vendor master data management in SAP
  • Management and monitoring of the cash desk, including preparation of cash count protocols and organization of cash replenishments and settlements
  • Monitoring of petty cash advances
  • Preparation of cheque issuances
  • Preparation of payments via online banking
  • Compiling and preparing bank statements for the accounting department
  • Structured filing and document management in the finance area
  • Support in daily administrative operations as well as in monthly and annual financial closures
  • Tasks exceptionally assigned by the Head of Administration, the Institute Director, or their representative
Requirements:
  • Completed administrative training or an equivalent qualification
  • Professional experience and/or experience in finance and administration
  • Knowledge of financial accounting; SAP experience is an advantage
  • Strong IT skills (proficient in MS Office, especially Excel)
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken; German skills are an advantage
  • Reliability, accuracy, and the ability to work independently
  • Experience in dealing and communicating with service providers and local authorities
  • Work experience in the context of international companies or NGOs is an advantage
