The Goethe-Institut Ghana is seeking a dedicated Administrative Officer (f/m/d) for the Administration Department starting 1 April 2026 or later.

As an Administrative Officer (V2), your main responsibilities will include:

  • General ledger accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, bank accounting, cash accounting, payroll accounting, and fixed asset accounting
  • Monitoring, clarification, and settlement of outstanding items in close coordination with all departments and the administrative management
  • Compliance checks of (electronic) invoices
  • Maintenance of monthly withholding tax overviews (GRA Withholding Tax Schedules)
  • Responsibility for preparing monthly and annual financial statements; support during cash audits and external audits
  • Support with change management concerning the standardization and digitalization of administrative processes
  • Tasks exceptionally assigned by the Head of Administration, the Institute Director, or their representative
Requirements:
  • University degree and/or vocational training in administration
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in administrative tasks
  • Knowledge of financial accounting (SAP skills are an advantage)
  • Excellent IT skills, especially MS Office (particularly Excel)
  • Good command of German (B2 level) and English, both written and spoken
  • Reliability, accuracy, and the ability to work independently
  • Experience in dealing and communicating with service providers and local authorities
  • Work experience in international companies or NGOs is an advantage
