The Purple Suitcase written by Swati Simha and directed by Samta Shikhar is the fifth and last rehearsed reading in the series No Such Thing.
About the play:
The Purple Suitcase is locked away in the attic of unvisited memories. As Dheera tries to journey through her life, the holes in her chest spew out toxic thoughts and scorpion stings. She can't move on without looking back.
The play unfolds through a series of conversations between a young vivacious brat and her older begrudging self as they contest the memories of events that shaped their relationship with each other and other women in the household. Will the 12-year-old self and the 26-year-old self reconcile their differences and find the key to The Purple Suitcase?
