The Opening Ceremony of Sri Lanka’s 2nd Science Film Festival will take place in the Sri Lanka Planetarium on November 2, 2018 at 6:30 pm. How tremendous the interest in improving science education in the country is, was pictured by the 650 screening venues in all 25 districts of Sri Lanka reaching astonishing 85,000 spectators.
Between November 2 and December 14 the Science Film Festival will take place in primary and secondary schools and in universities in all 25 districts of Sri Lanka – thanks to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Research and other partners such as the Sri Lankan Academy of Young Scientists and the Leos of Sri Lanka. Additionally in this period of time there will be screenings for the public every Friday at the hall of the Goethe Institut at 7 pm.
