Sundowner Musical Gathering
Open Call for Music Bands
We are expanding the program to reach a wider audience by welcoming artists from diverse musical backgrounds. Against this backdrop, Goethe-Institut Myanmar and Goethe Café warmly invite music bands from across Myanmar, including those based in cities and regions outside Yangon, to apply to perform in the upcoming Sundowner series.
The program will run from December 2026 through March 2027, with performances taking place on the last Friday of each month. As we aim to feature a different band at every event, we particularly encourage applications from independent, emerging, and youth bands from cities and regions beyond Yangon, including Mandalay and other parts of Myanmar. As part of this new phase of the programme, we are especially keen to showcase musical talent from across the country and foster greater exchange between artists from different regions of Myanmar.
We invite all bands eager to share their unique musical styles, original compositions, and artistic voices with new audiences to apply.
