This test is designed to roughly assess your German skills, whether you are experienced or just starting to learn the language. You will be tested on your reading comprehension and knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.

If you wish to enrol in a German course at the Goethe-Institut, please book the Online Placement Test.

Online Placement Test

The online placement test enables us to find out what previous knowledge you have, define a learning objective with you and help you select an appropriate course.

You can do the placement test online in your own time. The test consist of multiple-choice questions. Afterwards you will be contacted by one of our teachers for a quick assessment of your speaking capabilities. The teacher will then give you a recommendation and explain our different course formats.

Minimum age: 16 years

Send an e-mail to Khaing.Zin.Latt.extern@goethe.de to register placement test.
You will receive a link and password for the test via e-mail.
Fill in your data and enter the test with your password.
After a few days, you will receive a Zoom link and password for the oral exam.
After the oral exam, you will receive a precise result, such as A1.2, B2.1, etc., for your placement test.
