A photographic exhibition by Iwan Baan and Alexia Webster of pre and post-colonial architecture in Sub-Saharan Africa following independence in the late 1950s and early 1960s, an economic boom and the formulation of a national identity as reflected through the buildings that remain to be ‘rediscovered’.

Conceptualised and curated by Manuel Herz with Ingrid Schröder, Hans Focketyn, and Julia Jamrozik.

This exhibition is brought to Namibia by the Goethe-Institut Namibia and housed at the National Art Gallery of Namibia.
