Goethe-Institut New Zealand

This concert is the first event of the EUNIC (EU National Institutes for Culture) cluster, in special collaboration with the Alliance Française Wellington, the Goethe-Institut Neuseeland, and the French, Dutch and Hungarian embassies to New Zealand.

This afterwork recital is the perfect opportunity to enjoy classical pieces from various European composers at our Goethe-Institut in Wellington. The EUNIC cluster is excited to present works from France, Hungary and the Netherlands as performed by local musicians. Opera, clarinet, piano, and more!

The Fête de la Musique is an annual celebration in France held on a single symbolic date, 21 June, the day of the summer solstice. A major popular event, free of charge and open to all musicians, amateurs of all levels and professionals alike, it celebrates living music and highlights the breath and diversity of musical practices, as well as all musical genres. It is open to all audiences and helps to familiarise young and old from all walks of life with all forms of musical expression.
