About the Artists

• Jared Jonathan Luna

  

  Jared Jonathan Luna is a manila based dance artist who works as a choreographer/ performance maker, performer, and dramaturg. They have an undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of the Philippines Diliman and an International Joint Masters in Dance Knowledge, Practice, and Heritage, from Choreomundus, and Erasmus Mundus Masters Course. In their work, Jared is interestedin vernacular movement systems within circuits of urban cultures. Their research manifests in creative works and performances that have been presented in local and international platforms. Their most recent engagements include the SEA Choreolab in Rimbun Dahan, Malaysia and the Esplanade Contemporary Performing Arts Research Residency in Singapore.
  
  At the moment they are an Assistant Professor for Performing Arts in Guang Ming College, and a part time lecturer at the Anthropology Department, in UP Diliman. They are also an active participant in the ballroom community in the Philippines as the Father of the Kiki House of Dirty. On idle days, Jared wishes that they can mount their living room TV on the bedroom wall so they can rot in bed instead of the sofa.

• House of Dirty

  

  House of Dirty ist ein lokales Ballroom-Kiki-House, das von vier Befreundeten gegründet wurde - mit dem gemeinsamen Ziel, einen Sugar Daddy zu finden, der ihre Aktivitäten finanzieren würde. Bei seiner Gründung wurde das House durch folgende Prinzipien zusammengebracht:
  1. Makel oder Dreck ("Kalat") als Teil eines Individuum anzunehmen, zu akzeptieren und zu zelebrieren.
  2. Es wird sich für Sexpositivität und reproduktive Gesundheit eingetreten.
  3. Die Verbindung der Ballroom-Kultur und mit der queeren Filipino-Erfahrung.
  
  Seit ihrem Debüt 2021 ist das House of Dirty zu einem bekannten Namen in der phillippinischen Ballroom-Kiki-Szene geworden. Die Mitglieder haben Trophäen gewonnen, und viele Momente in Kategorien wie Realness, Face, Best Dressed, Fashion Killa, Bizarre, Body, Sex Siren, sowie Voguing/Performance (Old Way, New Way, Vogue Fem) geschaffen. Das House hat zudem Veranstaltungen wie "The Kalat Kiki" und "The Surftown Ball" organisiert.
  
  Derzeit wird das House von der Dirty Mother Ozkurr, einer Fashiondesignerin, und Dirty Father Jaja, einer darstellenden Kunstschaffenden, geführt. Das Haus setzt sich aus vielen diversen Individuen zusammen, deren Beiträge und Präsenz von Ballroom bis hin zur Drag Scene, Mode, Performancekunst, Theater, und Film reichen. Und trotz all dem ist es ihnen bislang nicht gelungen, einen Sugar Daddy zu finden.
