Heidi: Rescue of the Lynx

Spirited young Heidi spends her school holidays with her grandfather, the gruff Alm Öhi, in his mountain hut high in the Swiss Alps, secretly dreaming of visiting her friend Clara by the Baltic Sea instead. Those plans dissolve when she and her friend Peter discover an injured lynx cub that urgently needs to be returned to its family deeper in the mountains. Caring for the animal in secret, without telling her grandfather, Heidi soon uncovers a bigger threat: the greedy businessman Schnaittinger wants to build a sawmill in the pristine valley and has laid traps that endanger not only the lynxes but the whole mountain ecosystem. Together with Peter, Heidi sets out to save the cub, reunite it with its family, and rally the village to protect the home and the nature she loves.
