Carl Joseph Lara
Carl Joseph Lara is a writer, director, and editor. He holds a degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Cinema, from the University of San Carlos. He is a recipient of the NCCA Ani ng Dangal for Cinema. Rumbles of the Earth (2024) is his first fiction short, which won Best Short Film at the Berlin NewGen Film Festival (Germany) and received a Special Mention at Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur (Switzerland). He explores psychoanalysis, cultivating his keenness on the themes of humanity and the mind while transcending folkloric elements.
