Alvin Collantes
Alvin William Collantes (b. 1989, New Jersey) is a Queer Filipino performance artist based in Berlin (Germany). Their interdisciplinary body-centered practice merges improvisation, contemporary dance, decolonial perspectives, the art of drag, and queer dance floor histories as both archival and embodied sites for resistance and transformation. Through movement and performance, Alvin explores migration, displacement, and the diasporic struggles of loss, memory, and belonging while imagining new possibilities for queer-centred worlds. They are a participant of the Performance Ecologies Residency hosted by the Goethe-Institute Philippines under the curation of Eisa Jocson and Franchesca Casauay, where they continue to deepen their artistic research. Alvin often has premiered works in Futurium Berlin and collaborate with artists such as Kiani Del Valle of KDV Performance Group; Leeroy New, RambaZamba Theatre and Alvin Tolentino of Company Erasga Vancouver, and recently exhibited at Schwules Museum in Berlin for "Young Birds from Strange Mountains." In 2026, Alvin will be premiering their solo work titled "Bibingka" at Tanztage Berlin in Sophiensaele.

Magenta
Magenta is an interdisciplinary artist from the Philippines. Electronic music production plays a crucial role in his performance-making and improvisation. He specializes in music sampling and field recording which he uses to narrate stories about the land, the sea, and Pre-colonial spirituality. He incorporates unconventional samples such as frog voice, machine noises, video game sound effects, etc. A native of Cavite born in 1996, his early exposure to nature, animism, folk Catholic customs, Manila underground cultures, and traditional arts led him to compose aurally thriving and verdant sonic pieces, connecting with the voices from the Motherland and Herself. His sonic explorations are an extension of his visual language, often playing instruments through an artistic lens such as applying drawing to produce melodies and creative dissonance. He is interested in depicting the Anthropocene and the corruption of nature due to invasive human activities such as plastic and chemical waste dumped into the ocean, damage caused by warfares and capitalism, the building of trains and megastructures, and diminishing farmlands due to urbanization and displacement. His on-going project, “Soundscapes Reclamation”, is a sonic anthology of myth, contemporary Asian culture; an imagination of the interaction of the supernatural forces with the heavily urbanized and industrialized world.
Magenta’s tracks were featured in “Sounds Nais” Volume 4 (2023) and Volume 5 (2024), a Pinoy-focused music compilation project that aspires to raise aid and awareness for positive movements. He also collaborates with the rave and creative community such as the Elephant Party, fashion designers, spoken word artists, and produced for Pete Shabu’s first studio rap album, “SPRAK”. His music production was also involved in his dance and embodiment research, “Magentaichi”, which he developed under the “Performance Ecologies” initiative program and residency by Goethe-Institut Philippinen. He is currently based in Baguio City where he continuously explores music and dance improvisation with other experimental artists.
