Environmental problems in Indonesia
Our project
Since environmental problems are particularly big in Indonesia, we wanted to raise our students for more environmental awareness. For example, many do not know what the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are. To pass on the knowledge gained during Netzwerk Klima, we gave presentations in the German clubs for our schools and reported on our youth camp in Thailand. On our newly launched Instagram channel @earthiest_org, we continue our campaigns and promote the channel at our schools.We have implemented a campaign at the school of Afisya and Lintang to avoid motorized traffic from our school environment. For example, a sign informs all motorcycle drivers to turn off the engine before entering the school areas.
Jihan started a planting campaign at her school to make her school greener.
