In the water of Shanghai, there exists a hidden map of migration, identity and emotion, flowing around and through the people there. In the post-pandemic time, Shanghai, a city originally built on the flux of people, capital and commodities, is in a process of a slow yet formidable wave of movement, driven by the collective trauma.

This project maps this current state of the city with our physical bodies, emotion and actions. Using a mixture of walks, publications and performance, the artists searched for untold stories of people's displacement, in the hope of finding possibilities to re-position ourselves and navigate our ways during this clouded time. What forces pulled people away from this city, and why are people still staying? What do we do when the tide is high, and nothing seem to last anymore?
