German Book Club reads Alina Bronsky

At the May German Book Club meeting, we will discuss Alina Bronsky's Die schärfsten Gerichte der tatarischen Küche (Kiepenheuer & Witsch, 2010. ISBN: 9783462043921. 8,99 €).

On the other side of the Urals, a secret matriarchy rules and the beautiful Tartarian Rosalinda is feeling much too young to become a grandmother. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Rosalinda’s drive to survive brings the three inseparable women to Germany.
