Dance Party NYC: Techno Worlds

As part of the TECHNO WORLDS exhibition, we’re launching a techno playlist on August 6. Created by music journalist Heiko Hoffmann, the curated track list covers the history of 1980s and ‘90s techno, from its Detroit roots to its European adaptations.


Heiko Hoffmann is a German music expert, editor, lecturer, curator and consultant. He's VP of Global Artist Services at the online music store Beatport and was editor-in-chief of Groove magazine for 17 years. He’s also teaching at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at New York University. Hoffmann has been a key-note speaker, moderator and panelist at conventions and festivals.
