In 1999, Monsieur Vuong, Berlin's first Vietnamese restaurant, opened its doors, bringing cherished family flavors from a mother's kitchen to the heart of the German capital. Founded by Khuong Dat Vuong, born in 1975 in in Saigon (now Ho-Chi-Minh-City), the restaurant quickly became a culinary landmark in Berlin. Its light yet flavorful dishes captivated many, and in 2016, the journey was chronicled in the book "Monsieur Vuong," published by Suhrkamp.
