Germany has long served as a prime destination for those in search of new opportunities, attracting individuals from all over the world. Amid this diverse, multicultural environment, individuals of Vietnamese descent have consistently excelled, achieving remarkable success and leaving lasting impressions over time.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany, the German Embassy in Hanoi, AHK Vietnam, and the Goethe-Institut have launched the campaign "Viet-Duc: 20 Faces, 20 Stories". This initiative aims to acknowledge 20 outstanding personalities shaping the German-Vietnamese cultural and societal landscape.   The campaign promises an authentic look at the stories, lives, and careers of these individuals.

Who are they? Where did their journeys begin? What challenges have spurred their breakthroughs?

The full scope of their stories will be revealed in "Viet-Duc: 20 Faces, 20 Stories". This campaign is dedicated to  capturing these narratives, making them accessible to a wider audience by carrying them beyond the Vietnamese community. It is our hope that these narratives and personalities will inspire and encourage the younger generation in Vietnam and Germany as they pursue their own  goals in life.

Stay tuned and get inspired!

The inspiring portrait exhibition has been on display on the outer wall of the German Embassy in Hanoi since June. There, you can admire 13 large-sized photos up close.
