Internationally renowned Gerd Janson grew up in Frankfurt am Main. The city has been a hotbed of electronic dance music since the 1990s. Gerd Janson grew up here.Here is, where he started his international career. In 2013 he was acknowledged as one of the best DJs of the year by de:bug’s, and ranked among the top 10 in the Groove Magazines Resident Advisor Top 100 DJ List. Together with his DJ partner Thomas Hammann he curated the Robert-Johnson Club in Offenbach/Main, nowadays one of the best known clubs. Of course Gerd Janson has been much sought after in many clubs, such as Panorama Box Berlin amongst others. He runs the Label Running Back, which produced with famous artists like Tensnake, Todd Terje, Maurice Fulton and Theo Parrish. While others describe Gerd Janson’s style somewhere between techno and house, he categorizes it simply as good dance music.
