Goethe-Institut examinations are well known throughout the world and the associated certificates are accepted as a qualification by employers and further education institutions in many countries. The Goethe-Institut's German language examinations correspond to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and range from A1 for beginners to C2 for language skills at the highest level.
Levels of Goethe-Institut examinations and language courses
Effective at select test sites on 01.05.2013 and worldwide on 01.08.2013, the previous tests for Goethe-Zertifikat B1-- Zertifikat Deutsch (ZD) and Goethe-Zertifikat B1: Zertifikat Deutsch für Jugendliche (ZDj)—will be replaced by the new Goethe-Zertifikat B1.
Goethe-Zertifikat B1The Zertifikat Deutsch (ZD) and the Zertifikat Deutsch für Jugendliche (ZDj) will no longer be offered after 31.07.2013. Repeat dates are possible till the end of 2013. Particulars will be handled by the test site.

Along with its standard tests, the Goethe-Institut also offers the latest computer adaptive test systems such as BULATS Deutsch-Test für den Beruf.This testing system allows companies to check the foreign language skills of employees and job applicants quickly and inexpensively.
Reunification of spouses
