German Composer and Performer Collaborates with Local Musicians

Berlin-based saxophonist, clarinetist and composer Silke Eberhard is a successful international jazz musician. In addition to leading her own bands, she is leading the wind quartet Potsa Lotsa, an unconventional two-reed two-brass ensemble that interprets the compositional works of Eric Dolphy, and her septet Potsa Lotsa Plus, as well as performing with collective ensembles and numerous international jazz musicians, such as David Liebmann, Wayne Horvitz and Gerry Hemingway.

At the Sydney International Women's Jazz Festival 2017, Silke Eberhard will perform with the Sydney Women’s Jazz Collective. Together with the tenpiece band, she will present her own compositions. You can also see the artist in an intimate performance with some of Australia’s greatest improvisers. Dates:
