Embracing Diversity

Being attuned to different needs and acknowledging diversity in all its facets creates a welcoming learning environment in the German classroom. It allows us to transform the way students think and learn and engage with each other and the wider community, equipping them with not only pure language skills, but also a better understanding of the ever changing world. The conference presentations will showcase how embracing diversity of skills, perspectives and experiences in a language classroom can be integrated in teaching German.

International and local guest speakers and colleagues will present inspiring ideas and best practice examples ready for classroom use as well as the latest trends in research and language policies (state, national and international). There will be an emphasis on diversity of learning experiences and on programs catering to different needs.

This conference provides the forum to develop personal collaborative relationships promoted by the Network of Australian Teachers of German (NATG).

Since 1972, the Goethe-Institut has been part of the language teaching and learning environment in Australia and we would like to celebrate this during the Conference Dinner. The event will reflect on the past 50 years of special relationships with educators and partners.
