"Im Prinzip Familie"

In collaboration with the European Parliament’s Info Hub, the Goethe-Institut Brussels invites you to a screening of the 2024 documentary "Im Prinzip Familie" ("Basically, Family").

The documentary presents the everyday lives of three care workers in a residential care home. They look after five boys on a daily basis, cooking, doing the washing, shopping and offering the children support. Alongside this, the care workers advocate for the boys’ goals and dreams with their guardians, parents and the youth welfare service. The film offers an insight into youth welfare services and raises the question of what family ultimately means.

The event is taking place as part of the fifth Belgium-wide ‘German Language Week’. No registration required: First come, first served.
