The parallel programme of Queer as German Folk exhibition begins with the screening of Cocoon, a tender coming-of-age film, starring a teenage girl living in Berlin.

In the hot Kreuzberg summer, 14-year-old Nora emerges from her cocoon like an enchanting butterfly. This is a coming-of-age and coming-out film, a personal story told with care as Nora transforms and comes to a realization about herself.
