Supervised transfer from Frankfurt Airport For flights arriving or departing between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the official arrival and departure day, a transfer is offered between Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and the course location in Karlsruhe (waiting times possible). On arrival, one of our staff members will meet the children at the exit of the transit area in the arrivals hall. He/she will carry a Goethe-Institut sign and can provide identification. For organisational reasons, we can provide the staff member’s name no earlier than three days before the course begins. On departure, we accompany the child to the check-in area.

Karlsruhe is a city full of energy and opportunities: vibrant, open, and perfect for trying new things. With its baroque palace, historic buildings, and unique fan-shaped layout, there’s plenty to discover—ideal for anyone who enjoys adventure, history, or sport.

Learn German and make new friends through sport

The language camp is idyllically located at the Schöneck Sports School on the Turmberg, offering wonderful views over Karlsruhe. Although the city is just 528 steps away, the camp provides a calm, friendly environment where young people can feel comfortable, develop freely, and quickly form friendships that may span the globe.

For three weeks, participants stay in 2-, 3-, or 4-bed rooms with private bathrooms. Three tasty meals, drinks, and snacks are provided daily, with vegetarian and pork-free options available at every meal.

On lesson days, participants learn German in two to three blocks, focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Teaching is communicative and practical, encouraging active participation. Language games, projects, and creative methods ensure a motivating learning atmosphere.

After lessons, the activities continue: participants can choose from a variety of sports and leisure options—football, sports hall, swimming pool, or creative workshops. Movement, fun, and new experiences are part of everyday life here.

Adventure between the Black Forest and Castle Romance

South of Karlsruhe lies the Black Forest, world-famous for its cuckoo clocks, dense woods and stunning mountain scenery. Also nearby is the well-known university city of Heidelberg, which we visit on a weekend excursion. But fun is also close at hand: at the Karlsruhe high-rope forest park, students can climb through the treetops, and on hot summer days the nearby outdoor pool is the perfect place to cool off.
