AR, VR, AI, Metaverse... All these buzzwords are omnipresent in and outside of video game culture in recent years. Some of us may easily feel intimidated by the supposedly complicated and challenging technologies and jargon. Game Kitchen is lucky to have invited technolgist and artist Sun Yuqian, who has created several game art projects based on AI chatbots and other emerging technologies. In her gameworks, players are accompanied by AI characters in adventures and time travel. Sun has also worked in and around open virtual social spaces such as Gather.Town to organize her work and networks.

In this week's Game Kitchen, Sun will share her creative experiments with chatbots and building metaverse social space in Gather.Town. She will also introduce some easy-to-use tools to make AR objects, upload your own NFT work and make simple games!

Sun Yuqian 
Currently based in London, Yuqian Sun ia a Chinese AI artist and researcher graduated from Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University and Goldsmiths, University of London. She's currently a doctoral student in the Computer Science Research Center of Royal College of Art. Art consultant of rct.ai. She's also one of Baidu PaddlePaddle AI developers experts. Inspired by conversations between virtual characters in video games, she produces works that steer with curiosity. She creates art projects based on AI chatbots, which focus on the narrative and intimacy in human-AI interaction.
