About the play:
Brothers Ivan and Oleg have run away from home, hoping to build a life in the west, perhaps even settle down somewhere less suffocating. Drowning in debts and secrets, their dreams of a comfortable future starts showing cracks.
Why this play:
The play is about the struggle to be able to have a decent and dignified life. It deals with issues of legal citizenship, struggles of migrants and the effects it has on interpersonal relationships. MD Pallavi was deeply affected by the migrant crisis of India witnessed in the pandemic last year. The struggle of the migrants to be able to go home, to go to a better life, to eat, to live will forever remain in our consciousness as one of the worst humanitarian crises the world has seen.
She is keen on collaborating with multidisciplinary artists.
