Objective: Empower girls aged 14–18 in Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco by providing creative and technical skills in game development. The Game Jam will create safe spaces for exploration, collaboration, and innovation, helping to bridge the gender gap in the gaming industry.

About the Project
Game Changers – Girls in Gaming equips girls and young women in the MENA region with creative and technical skills in game development.
During the Game Jam:
- Mixed teams from Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco will develop a game prototype.
- Participants will be supported by mentors from their respective countries.
The Goethe-Institut will provide:
- Venues and technology for in-person participation
- Promotion and participant recruitment
- Mentors to support the teams
Scope of Work
The selected service provider will:
- Devise the Game Jam program in coordination with the Goethe-Institut
- Suggest and provide software for game design and collaboration (e.g., Minecraft Education or other beginner-friendly platforms)
- Deliver capacity-building inputs on game design to enable participants to develop simple game prototypes in coordination with mentors from participating countries
- Provide technical infrastructure, including:
- Platforms for asynchronous communication (e.g., Discord)
- Platforms for live inputs and calls (e.g., Zoom)
- Advice on technical requirements for hybrid participation in Goethe-Institut venues
- Moderate the Game Jam and facilitate interaction among participants
- Coordinate with Goethe-Institut staff and local mentors in each country
- Optional: Providing mentors and venue as well as technical equipment (e.g., laptops / PCs) in country of submission

- Introduce girls to game design and gaming professions in a fun, accessible, and engaging way
- Facilitate exchange and collaboration among youth from the region
- Encourage creativity, teamwork, and technical learning
Requirements
- Fluency in Arabic and English
- Located in Morocco, Jordan, Egypt, or Iraq
- Ability to provide technical infrastructure and suggest suitable software
Proposal Submission
Applicants should submit:
- Description of relevant experience coordinating hybrid events and/or Game Jams
- Rough concept for implementing the Game Jam (methodology, schedule, team structure)
- Detailed offer including fees (with tax breakdown), technical requirements, and optional services if applicable.
