Workshop Helena Waldmann and Liz Rech

In this workshop, Helena Waldmann (Berlin) and Liz Rech (Hamburg), two theater directors and choreographs from Germany, whose work adresses political and social issues, will give an introduction to their approach and concepts.
Helena Waldmann received an UNESCO Award for her production „Headhunters“, featuring Brazilian dancers from Salvador de Bahia. She also produced “Letters From Tentland” and “Return to Sender”, realizing a critical but constructive dialogue with the Islamic culture.
Liz Rech worked on current society issues like youth crime. Her play “Bastard. Wahlidentitäten” starring six young German-Turkish focuses on life in between cultures and a mixture of identities and life styles.
